Access Business Group starts roll-out of RedPrairie Warehouse Management solution

Successful pilot project in Moscow shows value of solution

Eindhoven, NETHERLANDS  – RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity solutions provider, announced that Access Business Group, a distribution and manufacturing company, has started implementing RedPrairie Warehouse Management in its global warehouses. After a successful pilot in its new distribution centre in Moscow, Russia, Access Business Group decided to start the worldwide roll-out of the RedPrairie Warehouse Management system. The European  Regional Service Center in Venlo, the Netherlands, will deploy the new WMS next.

Access Business Group is part of the Alticor family of companies and focuses on providing logistics services to the Alticor Corporation and other companies. ”One of the key reasons for asking RedPrairie to provide the new central system for our logistics operations is that they offer warehouse management, slotting, workforce management and parcel solutions on a single integrated platform with a common architecture,” said Marc van Pruijssen, manager supply chain and business development planning, Access Business Group in Europe.

The system went live in Moscow according to plan. “We now have a system in place which supports our activities in Russia, based on clear standard procedures,” says Van Pruijssen. “The system is very easy to learn and, contrary to our old software, the RedPrairie WMS is a real-time platform that provides immediate insight into all movements in a distribution centre. Using the software throughout our organization and relying on RedPrairie’s knowledge and expertise will make us more flexible, reduce cost and improve support.”
